As a matter of fact, a lot of customers have difficulties to find references between semifinished products of same materials with different trade names.
During the last years the most important manufacturers of semifinished products have conformed their trade names to the DIN 7728 norm which specifies the correct abbreviation to be used for each material type, including possible modifications.
Thanks to the norms the customers have the possibility to verify exactly the kind of material used without being confused by fantasy names often given only for commercial purposes.
The schedule hereunder includes only the most used materials, specifying the abbreviation to be given according to DIN 7728 and lists the trade names of some known products known on the market.
